Sad News 12-16-2016
I just found out Tuesday evening that a friend of our family was taken to the hospital on Monday. It does not sound good. We knew that she had pancreatic cancer and has been taking chemo and radiation treatments, hoping for the best results.
Now, it looks as if she is not going to make it. So sad for her husband and children and the rest of her extended family. She was a school teacher and is in her early 60s.
Pancreatic cancer is one type of cancer that has had very little success in survival rates. It’s very difficult to treat. I guess in her case it was already very advanced before she knew something was wrong.
I’ve known her husband and his family for over 50 years. So sad.
