Life is like hospital food, you never know what you're going to get until you lift the lid.
I made the mistake of doing a photo search for “hospital food” to see what was considered normal food fodder. That gave me the idea to do a meal post but if you are going to do one, you might as well do all three meals.
Today breakfast was really late; all I wanted was my super size coffee (if it can ethically be called coffee) but ended up getting three individual cups. My usual breakfast is 4 ounces scrambled eggs, three turkey sausage links, one slice of bread, a banana and hot or cold cereal. 80% of the time they screw it up and if you get condiments on your tray you get light-headed with joy.
After knowing what I normally get you can see why I needed to post a pic of what people call “AB” (apology breakfast) because they were so late getting the trays together. It was weird to not hear people complaining when they got their trays. I don't want gourmet meals but something healthy would be nice.

My local.hospital has very good food. Complaints generally seem to be about portions being too large to finish. They have now introduced a choice of sizes.
