Google is not God!

Google search engine

Read an article published by the Business Insider, titled “Google, democracy and the truth about internet search”. * The writer of this article, Carole Cadwalladr, says: “Google is knowledge. It’s where you go to find things out.” I agree with the second statement - It’s where you go to find things out. I disagree with the first statement Google is knowledge. Google is a search engine! And before we had search engines, we had books, encyclopedias, lexicons, dictionaries, libraries and there were some living human beings from whose brains we could extract information, data, knowledge, and wisdom. * Within the article is a quote from Danny Sullivan, the founding editor of SearchEngineLand.com. He says (partial quote):- “... Google is doing a horrible, horrible job of delivering answers here. It can and should do better.” * Added support for Mr. Sullivan's thoughts were supplied by another expert: “ ... ordering of search results does influence people, says Martin Moore, director of the Centre for the Study of Media, Communication and Power at King’s College, London, who has written at length on the impact of the big tech companies on our civic and political spheres.” (Scratching my head.) Uuuhh … hello! Is there a difference between an ANSWER and a SUGGESTION? Surely everybody knows that when they type in search words or phrases into the little box … GOD IS NOT GOING TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THEM AND GIVE THEM THE RIGHT ANSWER! The search engine is going to throw out a bunch of suggestions for your further research, review, exploration and examination. That's all the search engine was meant to do. If you don't like the results that are yielded … then don't use them! Blaming the search engine because there are a bunch of haters out there is as ludicrous as blaming Facebook for Fake News! Facebook was not meant to be a news source. Google never said “God died and left them in charge!” I understand where the article writer is coming from. I just respectfully disagree with how she said it!
Google's autocomplete suggestions often produce racist or hateful responses. Here's what you need to know.

It is a place where we go to search facts. It is a mine of knowledge surely but it is not wisdom itself.
