Blake Bortles who is the current quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-12) has revealed one reason his former coach Gus Bradley may have been fired.
The players on the team did not execute the idea of playing winning football in order for their coach to stay around past the current football season.
Bradley was relieved of his duties on Sunday afternoon after the Houston Texans defeated the Jaguars by a final score of 21-20 at Reliant Stadium in Houston Texas.
Assistant head coach Doug Marrone who used to be the head coach of the Buffalo Bills will take over the team for the remainder of the current football season.
Bortles believes even though the other football players on the Jaguars football team liked his style of coaching them, they did not make enough of an effort to buy into winning one for their coach to keep him as their coach.
The rule of coaching is that it is easier to fire the head coach of the football team than to fire the entire roster of Jaguars football players when the coach does not win enough football games to keep his job.

If they deliberately lost to get their coach fired, that doesn't say much about the players' characters.

Bortles admitted they liked the way Bradley coached them but their effort on the gridiron did not translate to enough wins to allow Bradley to keep his job.
