Day 106
Proverbs 14:30
Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
For some time now the world has been on a health kick. Eating healthy, exercise, and doing whatever it takes to get and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. There is a lot more than good nutrition and exercise in maintaining your health. There is also the health of your personality and disposition, the health of your soul.
Solomon noticed the difference a healthy personality was to a person and what happened when people were disagreeable and carried around unhealthy traits.
Paul had a list of those traits that are unhealthy for a good personality.
Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Ga 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (KJV)
Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
I am certain you know people with an unhealthy personality. Your tendency when you see them is to avoid them if possible and not be caught up in their unhealthy lifestyle.
As Christians, it is just as important to have a healthy personality as it is a healthy lifestyle. When you do, you will have God’s blessings on your life in everything you do.
Let’s pray: Father, help me have a healthy personality as well as a healthy lifestyle so I will always be a blessing to those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Yes, negative qualities impact our health in a negative way and positive ones improve our over-all heath.
