Didn't Get My Morning Walk In

Went down to the park this morning where I usually take my morning stroll. It was an optimistic thing to do. Didn’t think I’d be able to walk. It’s been raining for two days straight. I’d have the place to myself.
Only, of course, I didn’t. There were a couple of duck and several seagulls swimming. Just goes to show you how much rain we’ve gotten. They were swimming where the various kidlets usually play soccer. There’s no pond in this park. At least, no one intended there be one.

That's a shame you didn't get your walk because of the high water. I am sure the moisture will make the park beautiful though.

The cats here grudgingly skulk about in the snow too when they are outside.

@jhechorain Yes. Our cat has to stay outside because my husband is allergic to him. He has an enclosure. I imagine he's curled up snoozing in his doghouse. (I refuse to call it a cat house.)

always sad to see a favourite walking area washed out and waterlogged

@msiduri the village green I see from my window serves the same function - just a few seagulls on it at present

@arthurchappell When I was there yesterday, there was a whole flock of migrating geese there. A rest stop on their way to Mexico, I guess. And no kidlets. It still quick soggy. A few hearty souls walking.

It's still raining. though not quite as heavily. It's supposed to rain tomorrow as well. The streets are a mess. It's supposed to clear up Saturday.
After being so dry for so long, a nice little soaking is okay. A nice little soaking going away after a while is even better.

The birds thought they would have the place to themselves then that pesky human came along.
