Men who marry intelligent women live longer lives -- so say researchers. Apart from living longer they found that fewer men - with intelligent wives - suffered from age related illnesses such as Alzheimer's or dementia. I am not quite sure about the level of intelligence they are talking about here, but anyway, men are so attracted to the female's physical attributes, how many men out there would choose brains over beauty?.

I learned the hard way. I would choose love, personality, compatability and fear of God over brains and beauty. Though there is nothing wrong with brains and beauty in themselves.

That is true . Basing from observation , men are more attracted to the physical features of a woman than to her brain .

Hmm , my hubby should then be happy he married me .

A lady for me needs to be bright and articulate - I tend to be a bookworm and a partner who can't take an interest in some intelligent debate would hold me back - good looks are a plus though some girls I have dated seem plain to others - i never cared about someone else's perception though

Not only that but an intelligent woman demands a certain level of intelligence sometimes...and that can be exhausting to a man especially if he is not very intelligent. So why choose her? That's way out of his comfort zone.

I have to agree there, from way back, men preferred women who were not too intelligent. I mean at one time women weren't allowed to vote or own property - but times have changed -- and there are still men out there who would prefer a woman who is their equal intellectually.

@Kandae11 When you find a man who is comfortable and confident in himself, then an intelligent woman is an asset.Otherwise women are seen as trophy wife.
