What if you grabbed another person's cell phone and stomped on it?

Scenario One:
You might be having A BAD DAY
If you were in an argument over the phone, a cell phone, that is ... and all of a sudden, this guy comes towards you and tells you to shut the heck up.
He is more angry at you for talking on your phone than you are at that person on the other end of the conversation in digital space.
You are shocked because that guy grabs your phone from out your hands and drops it to the ground and then begins stomping on it until your phone has become a pile of rubble.
You might run like heck.
You might want to hit that guy in the face for destroying your smart phone now a dead phone.not so smart now.
You might want to press charges. But how does the law deal with something I call:
PHONE RAGE attacks.
As for me, it has to be more common these days with people who are using wireless devices and using them to text message or even verbally chat on them, most people use proper discretion. They are polite and talk softly. But I don't think that getting out of control and grabbing another's device and tossing it into the trash will do anything but cause an even equal or greater action on the other person's end.
I imagine it is considered unlawful to act violently on impulse to another person's annoying activities if they talk loudly and distract you and others around you by arguing over the phone or behaving obnoxiously. I think it is about the same as road rage. When another person cuts in front of you and slows down, forcing you to brake. to react by honking or giving the other driver the bird is a prelude to acts of extreme road rage violence that is becoming more common place in our society and the thing is, it's only going to get worse.
Definition Raging, Violence and Impulsive Aggression - Explosive verbal, physical or emotional elevations of a dispute. Rages threaten the security or safety of another individual and violate their personal boundaries. Off the Charts Rage and Impulsive Agg

I read or heard somewhere a very wise saying that goes something like this - "Act in haste, repent in leisure." We sometimes live a long bit of regret over an impulsive action. And also, 'Hind site is 20/20" Also a very wise saying that I think means that in retrospect, we will look back at something we said or did and see clearly how wrong we were at that time to have done it or said it and then realize we learned from it to not repeat that same mistake in the future. lol

I always think that in situations like this that my ideal reaction would be to stand up and fight but people are so crazy nowadays that I don't think it is safe to do so without expecting serious acts of violence to be committed against you. I've read all of these stories about people being hit or knives being pulled and I think that people who act crazy like that need to be left alone and dealt with by police. Obviously it is not okay to commit phone rage like this and the person committing the act should try to remove themselves from the situation or relax rather than to destroy the property of another person or intimidate someone.

Yes, but in the heat of the moment, poor impulse control is the major problem.

When I see aggressive or angry people I usually steer clear of them. People who cannot control their tempers have always scared me.

For a very good reason. And the thing I think is worse even are those people who appear calm on the outside might be seething with rage on the inside, kind of like a person who goes ballistic or rather, as it has been called, Postal.
