Detroit Lions starting quarterback Matthew Stafford said this week to a reporter who asked him if he was disappointed he was snubbed to join his teammates at the Pro Bowl that will be played on January 29, 2017 with the comments "I don't care". Stafford was beat out on the National Football Conference roster by rookie Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. You can take Stafford's remarks as taking the high road or as an act of anger. Stafford is concerned about leading the Lions who are currently in first place in the National Football Conference North Division with wins over the Dallas Cowboys on the road on Monday Night Football and the Green Bay Packers in the final game of the regular season so that the Lions can make a playoff run and possible represent the National Football Conference representative in Super Bowl LI that will take place in Houston Texas on February 5, 2016. I guess being snubbed for the Pro Bowl may be due to his middle finger injury of his throwing hand may have been a factor he was beat out by Prescott, Ryan and Rodgers.

As well as they are doing, I'm sure the pro bowl isn't the bowl that is on his mind.

At least Matthew has a good idea of how what is really important right now.

I don't think players really care about the pro bowl unless they get extra money for making the squad like baseball all stars.

In my opinion the Pro Bowl should be played earlier during the football season since the players admit they do not like playing football before the Super Bowl or in the older system the week after the Super Bowl.

It is amazing what some don't care about. If this turns out to be the end of his career (and money) wonder if he will care then?

That is one reason I do not like the idea of the Pro Bowl being played after the playoffs since the players look at it as having to go back to summer school.
