I like this 1978 novelty record for its outright absurdity. A drunken granny killed by a careless sleigh steering Santa while Grandpa seeks comfort from the family, including his cousin Mel, implying that Grandpa might have actually murdered grandma and framed Santa so he can have a relationship with the redneck cousin.
The video depicts Elmo as both grandpa and grandma with Patsy playing Mel. All terribly silly but great fun.
The granny actually survives her accident and returns in the closing moment of the video though her survival is not referenced in the song itself.

I grew up listening to this song. They made a cartoon out of it several years ago. I watched it once but was not a fan of it.
