Day 108 Proverbs 14:32 Proverbs 14:32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death. Some people never learn from their mistakes. Their lifestyle gets worse each day until nobody will have anything to do with them except those who are just like they are. Solomon saw wickedness everywhere he turned, even in his family where murder and treason took the lives of two of his brothers. His example was his father, David, who lived each day taking encouragement in the Lord. You have two choices in life. You can live a life away from God, driven by your wants and desires, or you can live a life of obedience to God, accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord. One path leads to eternal damnation and the other to eternal life. In a world turned upside down with terrorist attacks, when everything you see on television is another story about something gone seriously wrong in the world, you know wickedness drives their hearts. However, those who know the Lord and live a life of obedience to God, have confidence in their salvation. As Christians, you know who is behind all the wickedness in the world, and until Satan is defeated for the last time, terror will continue to reign in the hearts of men bent on causing harm to as many people as they can. Jesus said he came to give us life, abundant life. He described Satan’s agenda and his purpose. John 10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Peace is what everyone shouts and longs for. Terror is what you see all around you. Though, no matter how bad it gets, you have this one confidence, Jesus was born to set you free from Satan’s chains. You have no need to fear hell and damnation when your hope lies in Jesus Christ. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to be my Savior and giving me the confidence and hope of eternal life. Help me live my life each day knowing that one day Satan will receive his reward and will not be able to guide people with wicked thoughts and actions any longer. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I like this translation of 30 to 34 and I added a few words. You know friend peace of mind really makes the body healthy but jealousy is like a cancer. Think about this if you please for if we oppress poor people, we insult God who loves them. But kindness shown to the poor is a much better action. Wicked people bring about their own downfall by their evil deeds but good people are protected by their integrity. Wisdom is in every thought of intelligent people while fools know nothing about wisdom. That is why righteousness makes any nation great and why evil in the eyes of God is a disgrace to any nation.

What translation is that? It's a good summation of the last verses of the chapter.

You know my friends, if you can obtain peace of mind it can really make you healthier. May you have good health with contentment and good will. Though our life can be difficult try not to be jealous of others for it is like a cancer. Think about this just a little if you please. Try to be careful of your anger and sometime any selfishness we all can experience. If we oppress poor people, we insult God who loves them too. But rather than doing that keep in mind that kindness shown to the poor is a much better action. And do know that wicked people bring about their own downfall by their evil deeds while the good people are protected by integrity. You know if we seek it wisdom it will be in every intelligent thought we might have. Don’t worry about others for fools will know nothing about wisdom. That is why righteousness will always make the people great and why evil in the eyes of God will delude people to a disgrace. Proverbs 14:30-34 my translation

No one can serve two masters. As you say - in this life we have two choices. It is hoped that we will choose wisely.
