Favorite "Walk" Songs #6 - "Walking on the Moon"

#6 in my Favorite "Walk" Songs series (an idea I've stolen from @FourWalls) belongs to a legendary band that is making it's first appearance in one of my countdowns: "Walking on the Moon" by The Police.
One of the 1980's top bands, The Police formed in London in 1977. The group didn't do too badly for itself. Check out this resume: Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, six time Grammy Award winners, and they have sold over 75 million records worldwide. Obviously, their mix of punk, new wave, and reggae resonated with a lot of people.
(Fun Fact: Drummer Stewart Copeland did the music for the 1980's TV show The Equalizer.)
From their 1979 album Regatta de Blanc, "Walking on the Moon" was an international hit, charting in several countries, including #1 in the UK (but I find no evidence of any US chart action.) According to Wikipedia, bassist and vocalist Sting wrote the song while drunk.
Sting wrote so many great songs, perhaps he was drunk quite a lot!

@teamfreak16 yes, and Fragile is such a beautiful song - And his Last Ship concert is stunningly good

The Moon Walk was something I could never figure out how to do.

Walking on the Moon was for sure a heavily played "hit" on alternative radio.

I moved here in 1980, and was still getting played on our local AOR station. Yet no chart action that I could find. Weird.
