Ian Rapoport reports the news on Saturday current Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh will not accept any head coaches positions that will be open in 2017. Harbaugh who has been the head coach of the Wolverines since 2015 where he was the quarterback of the Wolverines from 1982-1986 under the leadership of the late Bo Schembechler is happy with his head coaching in his alma mater. I can see Harbaugh staying with the Wolverines football program for many years to come since in his view it is easier to coach football players who stay in school from two to four years than coaching in the National Football League where he was the head coach of the San Fransisco 49ers from 2011-2014 where the football players are not his students like they are in the college ranks.

He is right to stay in a position where he is comfortable.

Harbaugh prefers to coach at the college level since he has to coach players for no more than four years and he wants to rebuild his Wolverines football program at this time.
