They're Out to Get Me!!!

Anyone else feeling like a ninja when you try to evade the "aggressive salesmen" from the mall? Our mall is one giant hallway with stores on each side. In the middle of this hallway are kiosks where salesmen sell anything from cell phone cases to shirts to lotions. This men with wait until you walk past and then pretty much tackle you. They jump right in front of you until you crash into them and then they start pressuring you to try their products. You say no and they already have a rebuttal. You try to walk around them and they move to block you. You pull out your pepper spray and they body slam you to the ground and demand you buy their product anyway. Ok...so I exaggerated a little... but you get the idea. They are getting worse and worse. The other day, one of them approached me and before I could stop him, he put lotion on my hand. Then he immediately started trying to sell it to me. I guess he figured that putting lotion on me would "trap" me. I was very upset. I feel like they are losing sales this way. I've seen plenty of things that I may be interested in from them but I'm afraid to go over and look because I don't want them to jump me. It's awful.... Are you guys feeling attacked out there, too?

Oh YES!! I totally get this! I don't like such salesmen either. It's really annoying.

I have never witnessed that kind of aggressive mall behavior. They must like you.

Sounds like I would be looking to shop elsewhere until the Mall staff take action on these vendors to make them less aggressive.

I rarely go to malls anymore, but I've actually never been hassled.

The salespeople at those kiosks used to scare me -- too aggressive. I notice they've been better lately. Maybe there were enough complaints or something

That is called harassment - there should be security guards around to stop them.
