Movies That Have Yet To Get A Sequel - Beetlejuice

Tim Burton’s early classic deals with ineffective ghosts who are too nice to be scary. They desperately hire a more dangerous ghost, Beetlejuice, to frighten off the living, only to decide that they like the living after all. Beetlejuice then proves devilishly hard to exorcise. Michael Keaton took a fun movie to new heights with his fabulous stripe-suited manic, Marx Brothers on drugs creation. The film also presented the songs of Harry Belafonte to a whole new generation. The classic scene that really stands out is the family, possessed and forced to dance, both doing the moves and trying not too but finding they really enjoy the experience and wanting it again. It is glorious. Audiences everywhere expected a speedy return for Beetlejuice, especially when Burton & Keaton carried on working together on the first Batman reboot, where Keaton did come back for a second adventure. The nearest Beetlejuice fans got to seeing ‘the ghost with the most’ again was in the lame TV cartoons, in which he was voiced by Stephen Ouimette. Burton found a new obsession in Johnny Depp, and left Keaton to find his own way. However a belated sequel is still being promised, though Keaton has aged from to 37 to 64 – No doubt the make-up department will have their work cut out if the ghost is to look like he did last time they dug him up, or they can always blame the sand-worms. I think any sequel especially at this point would be a woeful disappointment.

I really love this movie. I have the video so I pop it in now and then. I am not sure how good a sequel would be. Sometimes they are a disappointment.

I also am hoping to see a sequel to "All Star Superman" and "Batman Under The Red Hood." even though they are animated movies.

So this is originally a movie? I use to watch a Saturday morning character of the same title. We can count the cartoon series as a sequel of sorts.
