Rob Demovsky reports the news that the Green Bay Packers versus the Detroit Lions which will be played on January 1, 2017 at Ford Field in Detroit Michigan will be played on NBC Sunday Night Football.
The reason is that the winner of that football game between the two National Football Conference Division rivals will determine which team wins the division title and a home playoff game for the winning team.
The Packers (9-6) have won five straight football games after the 4-6 start after 10 regular season football games had many of their fans wondering if they would even be in contention to make it to the playoffs.
The Detroit Lions (9-5) next football game will take place at A T & T Stadium in Arlington Texas on Monday Night Football versus the Dallas Cowboys (12-2).
Regardless of the result of the outcome of the Lions versus Cowboys game ends on Monday Night Football, NBC officials think that the average football fan will tune in to the Packers vs Lions showdown next Sunday evening.

Since the network took a bath in losses this year due to the election and Colin's K protest.

As I already mentioned previously I'm not into football but I figure I can read your posts, like them and learn some of the terms and of course I recognize the team names. Plus if I have any questions about anything I can ask you.
