The Snow Was So Deep

We decided yesterday that maybe we should shovel off the deck. It was half way up the back door... I think it was probably a good idea! Now here is the bad part... The snow was so deep leading from the back door of the garage to the deck, that I had to follow hubby's footprints. The snow went up to my knees. It's kind of hard to keep your balance when the snow is that deep and when I got to the steps... I couldn't even see them to climb up to the deck. Hubby stood on top and pulled me up. Yes, the snow was that deep. We are all new to this and we should have shoveled a path to the deck at the beginning of the month... it would have been a lot easier. Everyone is headed out there now to finish the job... we still have a driveway to contend with. Here's hoping that we have received all the snow that we are going to get for the year. While we love living in the country, we are certainly considering that this is just too much for us!
