an afternoon of fisticuffs

December 28, 2016 11:03am CST
Christmas. Squabbles. Cuddles. Moodiness. Flowing alcohol. Nothing on the tellybox. Food, so much food. Belly aches. Presents to kill for. Cheese. Crackers. What, no snow? The Big Day itself was full of Makka Pakka, Upsy Daisy, doll prams, turkey and wine. Boxing Day was full of nephews and fights over old records. I won the fight and got to keep Now That's What I Call Music II, mostly because my eldest nephew is more in tune with me than his dad {my brother} is. Bless his smelly socks and his drunken tales of festivals and university interviews. I do now need a record player, otherwise the win will have been pointless. I did get a camera, a Diana Mini {lomography, analogue} which is going to be weird. How will I know what my pictures look like? How can I delete them if I don't like them? What is the world coming to, with vinyl and films that need processing ... soon, we shall be hunting for food and living in caves again. Oh, and a bunch more folk died. Ha ha, 2016. Ha ha.

@poppylicious Yes, it seems that we're having a clean sweep of celebs to make room for more.

It's a shame that the world isn't disposing of the newer celebs rather than the lovelier, more deserving, older ones.

@Poppylicious The younger ones certainly get celebrity a bad name. I wonder could we get Leonard Cohen back in exchange for Justin Beiber? Just a thought.

sounds like you had quite a day - having only recently got a vinyl record player myself after 20 years without I can seriously reccomend getting one

We haven't really got the room for one, but I might be able to convince Husband eventually!
