Current Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr, 37, on Wednesday has made his decision that the next football game versus the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati Ohio.
Smith who was a third round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers in the 2001 National Football League Draft out of Utah has played 16 seasons for the Carolina Panthers from 2001-2013 and the Baltimore Ravens from 2014-present.
Smith is likely to retire from playing football in the National Football League for a couple of reasons. He is a free agent at the end of the 2016 football season and he admits even though he can play football for at least one or two more years, his daughter wants to spend more time with him.
Smith is most of the revered football players in the Charlotte area since I did see on the internet news several children who admired him during his playing days with the Panthers crying in front of cameras that was taken by their relatives when he was released after the 2013 football season.
Whether you liked Smith or not, he did bring a passion and excitement on the gridiron with his patented end zone celebrations.
From a Oakland Raiders fan I want to thank Steve Smith for bringing some excitement to the sport of football. He will be sorely missed by his fans.

He enjoyed a nice long career which most players do not.
