Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher's Mom, Dies

Yeah, that's how most of the kids know Debbie Reynolds: "Carrie Fisher's mother." A day after actor/author Carrie Fisher died of complications from cardiac arrest her mother, singer/dancer/actor Debbie Reynolds has also died. Initial reports said that Reynolds suffered a stroke, but several tweets from Fisher over recent months voiced concern about her mother's failing health. Debbie Reynolds was able to dance next to Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain. She also had a gold record with the song "Tammy." When she married singer Eddie Fisher it was dubbed a "Hollywood dream wedding." Of course, those things never last, but that marriage gave us Carrie Fisher. Reports say that Reynolds was at her son Todd Fisher's home, going over Carrie's funeral arrangements, when she suffered a "medial emergency" believed to be a stroke. A day after bidding Carrie Fisher goodbye we now say farewell to her talented mother, Debbie Reynolds, who was 84. Here's her million-selling song, "Tammy":

I was going to say that I don't know this Debbie Reynolds, but I know the song Tammy. I love this song. RIP to both Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher.

This is just awful. Who of our generation didn't like Debbie? It may shock the kids but she was a far greater star than her daughter.
