Quieter New Years Eve this year

Last night my man, his son and their new puppy Jade spent the night. The boys had a fun time playing my sons 3 new video games.
I enjoyed playing with that little puppy. Every time my man yelled at her for biting she crawled into my lap. When she got tired and wanted to fall asleep she crawled into my lap and slept while we watched a movie. My mans son is a bit to rough with her.
I had a routine doctors visit today to refill my medications. I don't sleep good when my man is here so I am pretty tired right now.
Usually every year my father in law has a big New Years Eve party but not this year. It will just be my father in law and his wife and their 13 year old son, my brother in law and his girlfriend and all of their kids, as well as me and my 2 kids. It will be a decent size group but much smaller then usual.

Some years we stayed home or came home early so my kids could go to bed. Last year was the first year my son (who was 8 at the time) stayed awake to watch the ball drop. He cried when it happened because he thought he missed it. He was expecting it to drop and smash. So then he cried when he realized he had stayed up that long and the ending was so boring. He was obviously very over tired ha ha.

@shaggin lol such a disappointment for him. He had it all pictured in his mind of how it would be. He thought he was missing something good.
