Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Vince Mayle who was released by the Cowboys on Thursday has been claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Ravens. To make room for Mayle on the Ravens 53 man roster, the Ravens placed linebacker Zachary Orr on the injured reserved list. Since current Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. is likely to retire at the end of the 2016 football season, the Ravens are looking at Mayle and wide receiver and special team kick returner Keenan Reynolds who is a rookie who was on the practice team in 2016 until he was promoted from the practice team on Friday. Reynolds will replace Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith on injured reserve on Friday. Reynolds and Mayle will be the future star wide receivers of the Ravens in the 2017 football season.

They either get into coaching high schools, college football or even get into working as broadcasters either with a local television station or a major television network after they retire from the game.

I guess Mayle should feel lucky that he has a job next season.
