It's Sunday but I have a night shift

I got to be ready for work. I know it's Sunday. Everybody knows that one shouldn't go to work on Sunday. But...it's about duty and responsibility. This is my work. And I have to enjoy it. Have you ever had to work on Sunday? I took the picture from google

Remembered the old days when I went to work on Christmas and New Year! A bit sad at first but I had a blast in the end. :)

I understand how your feeling was when you had to work on Christmas and new year. It also happens to me sometimes when I had to work on holidays.

Not now but I did shift work. I was evenings ending at 11pm, all weekends and holidays. Mondays and Tuesday were my days off. Party time. Only not many people wanted to party on Monday's. :-)

I know most people don't like working on weekends and holidays. Now I am a little lazy doing a night shift, but I'll get one free day during a week.

I worked almost all Sundays when I worked overnight.

Sometimes I get sleepy in the middle of the night, and therefore I have to drink coffee at night. Did you sometimes feel sleepy?

Yes, of course. It's a compensation for night shift worker like me. Have you ever worked overnight?

@Devita No. That wasn't possible in my job. I was a teacher. It did happen, however, that a pupil fell asleep while I was teaching, heehee.

@MALUSE You were a teacher? That's a good profession. One of your pupils fell asleep during your class. That's funny. I did also when I was in school. I fell asleep during History class.

I don't work weekends and I am thankful for that. I use to work Sunday many years ago. Enjoy your work day.

I seldom need to work in weekends unless there is a special occasion. I know it doesn't feel well to work in weekends. But as you say, it is your duty and responsibility. We have to accept it anyway. Try to think about its opposite side. At least it is good to have a job, right? Perhaps you will get more paid because you work in weekends.

Some occupations require it... I used to when I worked in retail... Now I have normal office hours...

Glad that now you have normal office hours. My profession often requires me to work on abnormal office hours like what I have now. But luckily I'm free tomorrow (Monday)

So you are a nurse, so it is normal that sometimes you do work on Sunday. My niece is a nurse too and has to do the same.

Yes, this is normal. So, your niece is also a nurse? She must experience rather the same things as me.
