The management of the New York Jets football team on Sunday have announced that their current head coach Todd Bowles and Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan will return in 2017. Bowles has coached the Jets for two seasons but he has not been able to lead the team into the playoffs. The Jets won their final season game versus the Buffalo Bills by a final score of 30-10. It is a good thing that Bowles did not fired after his second season since two years in not enough of a time to try to get the Jets back into the playoff hunt. There were rumblings that due to the poor effort placed by the Jets players on the field this year, that Bowles would take the fall for the team since it is easier to fire one head coach than the entire football team. In my view Bowles will have to lead the team to the playoffs if he expects to return to coach the team in 2018.

Nothing like a solid last game win to save your job.

That is correct since the reports were that Bowles was going to be fired on Black Monday since the team stunk up the field recently.
