The San Francisco 49ers on Sunday have fired their general manager Trent Baalke on Sunday.
Baalke had been the general manager of the 49ers since 2005. One key reason he was fired besides the 49ers not winning a Super Bowl championship during his time with the team was his decision not to hire Adam Gase as the head coach of the 49ers and he decided to hire former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly.
Gase is the current head coach of the Miami Dolphins who ended the 2016 football season with a record of 10 wins and six losses which qualifies them for the playoffs.
It is possible that 49ers owner Ned York will allow the new general manager of the 49ers to fire Chip Kelly who coached the football team for one season who won only two games in their first 15 games of the current football season since their football game versus the Seattle Seahawks is still in progress.

That is true. The team is so bad the 1980 1-15 New Orleans Saints team looked a Super Bowl contender by comparison.
