New Years Resolutions

January 2, 2017 12:16pm CST
Just yesterday was New Years and I want to hear more about New Years Resolutions! Where did the traditions of New Years Resolutions begin? What are the benefits of making resolutions? How can one continue to have enthusiasm and motivation toward their resolution throughout the year? How have resolutions positively affected your life? Do you even believe in them? What was yours? New Years Resolutions have always been important to me, since I was a little girl. My first successful New Years Resolution was to stop eating McDonald's. I was only 7 then but I was ADDICTED to it. After a long year of dealing with a rumbling stomach whenever my family would drive through McDonald's, I ended the year no longer having McNugget cravings and I've only eaten there since a handful of times. I think they're very beneficial and should be put into practice more often.

I know!!! It's really gross. The whole motive of wanting to quit eating them was that I looked down for the first time and it looked like a white sponge inside of a brown coating. I don't know how McDonald's gets away with feeding so many people manufactured crap.

@CoolPeace is it a movie exposing and incriminating the mechanics behind McDonald's, or one glorifying the life of a crooked corporate who cares more about money than the worldwide wellness of other human beings (sorry that my bias is showing)

I can't remember ever making New Year's resolutions. That means I've never been disappointed about not reaching or breaking them.

That's a great point! Sometimes setting unrealistic goals only leads to disappointment. That means the people who do set resolutions should be very realistic about them.
