You may agree that much progress have already been made with regards to understanding the causes of poverty and environmental degradation in this country that, what we need to do is to stop gathering more evidence of human sufferings and ecological destruction and start acting on these informations and come up with a practical and workable model for sustainable development. To begin this process what I feel will be very important is to focus much attention on strategies to alleviate extreme poverty BY restoring and protecting the environment.
