I have a long (a really long one) list of authors/writers that I like and I keep track of their work, but if I have to name just one, I would say Alfred Hitchcock.
The stories that come out of his mind are so incredible, and the manner in which he writes is so interesting that it was impossible for me not to admire him for his work.

What I loved best about him was his ability to create movies that just fascinated and even horrified time after time. One of my all time favorites is Rear Window and I have the video. I can watch that movie over and over again and still find something I never found before.

One of my favorites and she is a local author is Debbie Macomber. She is from Port Orchard WA which is only 30 mins from me. Most of what she writes is Romantic adventure with a little bit of a Christian theme to them. She even had some of her work turn into a TV program.

Hitchcock wasn't a writer but a filmmaker. Strangers on a Train was Patricia Highsmith, Psycho Robert Bloch etc.

I'm going to prove what I know here, but I didn't know he was an author - I thought just a director. Wow
