Having Idols

I was reading my book by Wendy Pope called Wait and See. While reading it she brought up how things we focus on can become idols when we focus more on them then on God. It really made me stop and think. I have prayed for God to take care of my daughter yet while I wait I tend to be focused on ways to solve her issues and how upset she makes me then just letting God handle it. I should be focusing my energy on my relationship with God instead of the things I want changed in my life. I am really going to have to work on this as it is a down fall in my life.
