I have done internship in a Non-Government Organization(NGO) or a not for profit oranization. I no longer visit it since my schedule has become hectic. Yet there is an attachment towards the kids. So, I have planned to visit the kids tomorrow. My friend has asked me to accompany me since he has heard a lot from me about these kids and what all I used to do and had done for them. So, he feel inspired and want to visit the kids. I am really happy for this.
It feels really good if you are able to make a difference in someone's life. These kids have made me enhanced my level of selflessness in a beautiful manner.Empowering these kids give me a sense of satisfaction and happiness which is beyond words. Let's see what will happen tomorrow.

We had a project in high school almost the same as yours. Every group had to plan where to go and do their community service. Our teacher said it will help us broaden our minds and sight. And for us to appreciate the life we have today. My group went to an orphanage. Before we did, we solicited from small business but the turn out was pretty small so we solicited from our own families and pockets. We got some used clothes, can goods and money. When we went there the kids were happy to see visitors. We played with some of them. Some of us help with grooming etc etc. It felt really nice spending time and bring their smile out even for a short time.

@atoz1to10 No. It closed. The organization was funded by another country and we don't know what happened.

Non Government Organization. It works for the upliftment of those under-privileged and ignored sections of society. It helps to empower and build these people so that they can stand in society independently and becomes educated and powerful.
