Who's Ready to "Bow Down" to Donald Trump?

Below is an excerpt from a People Magazine article, the link for which I have included. Omarosa, who has just been named as the director of outreach in the new administration, made these comments several months ago but I somehow missed them until a day or so ago. Please tell me you find this as disturbing and DISGUSTING as I do: Former Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigault has a message for all of Donald Trump‘s naysayers – including President Barack Obama himself. “Every critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump,” says Manigault, the director of African-American outreach for the GOP nominee’s campaign, in a Frontline special set to air Tuesday on PBS. “It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald, who ever disagreed, who ever challenged him. It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.” So a relatively small minority of Americans elected a vengeful bully to the most powerful office in the world and now he's going to seek revenge against the rest of us. I, for one, have no intention of bowing down to him or anybody else.
Omarosa Manigault says Donald Trump’s critics will be sorry if he wins the White House

Sounds like someone is confusing democracy with dictatorship. Perhaps he should be sent a dictionary. Probably in big, easy to read letters with short word explanations.

Trump's entire business history has been as a dictator. His so-called ability to negotiate is a joke. All his negotiations were of the "If you don't play my way, I'll take my ball and go home" variety.

@egdcltd He didn't actually write any of them. He had ghostwriters who followed him around taking notes and turned his ramblings into books.

Thank you, I'm very worried and scared too. However, I'm not going to bow down to him, I'm not going to "give him a chance" because he's already shown us who and what he is and his behavior since the election along with his cabinet picks and other choices for his administration has only confirmed what many of us already knew. I now actually think he may be a Russian asset, a spy, a TRAITOR to our country and that really scares me.

@DWDavis That story about the uranium is one of those "fake news" items which has no basis in fact. Even if it were true it doesn't come close to comparing with the many disgusting things Trump is guilty of.

@anniepa If Trump is a traitor, how do you classify Hillary, who approved the Russian takeover of 20% of the US Uranium supply in exchange for a multimillion dollar gift to her family foundation? Neither of the should ever have been nominated, and it is a travesty that Trump was elected.

@anniepa Consider the title of your post. All the slander, and tongue lashing that has gone on since the election is too over the top for me. I didn't vote for him. I'm not in favor of him. However, I will not slander the man who will be our next president.

True but it stopped being funny about two months ago. A creature like him belongs in cartoons and night-time comedy routines, not in the Oval Office.

@TheInvisibleMan Let's see, he got there with the help of the Russians, because of fake news, some of which was promoted by the Russians, the media that gave him unlimited free airtime and didn't question his lies, the Russians, FBI Director Comey's last minute letters which contained no new information and did I mention the Russians...

It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.” Just because Omarosa said people will have to bow down to President Trump does not make it so....It is just her opinion....and i would say Trumps Critics are very sorry he won the election, he won the electrol collage, he won the re-count, Trump will be the next President of the United States...

He'll never be MY President, just had to say that. It's really disturbing to me that you write about hope on one line and then about revenge and power on the next. I guess you're not into caring about uniting this divided nation, are you? I just watched a long montage on Hardball of many of Trump's insults and disgusting tweets throughout the campaign and during this transition period and I still can't believe this bully is soon going to be in such a position of power.

@anniepa You may not like Trump but if you are a Citizen of the USA. in 11 days Trump will be the President, Everyone's President. My comments about what Omarosa said were in response to the story that you posted...They were her comments...... The comment about revenge is a sweet revenge that he won even with all the opposition and lies that were put out their about him...He over came it all. HE WON....and it is not Trump or his supporters that are causing the divide in this nation, It is the people that are fighting against him with out any cause...... You say i am not in favor of having a united nation...I am not the one saying He will not be my President, or giving him a chance to do what he can to bring this country together. You call him names.....But i am sure as time goes by you will learn to respect the man for the good things he will do for this country...

Hopefully 4 years on, Americans will not find that they had elected someone as close to Hitler in a democratic society! I think the damage done to environment in 4 years will be terrifying.

I don't like Trump, and I didn't vote for him, but 42+ million voters isn't exactly a small minority of Americans, and that should be even more frightening that what Omarosa said. Excluding the Socialist Republic of California, Trump actually won a majority of votes cast. When more than half of most American voters, sans Californians - who live in their own Pollyanna Socialist Utopia, voted for Trump, we have real reason to be concerned.

So you'd like to discount Californians' votes because you feel they're too liberal, what if I said we should discount voters from Texas and other "redneck" states because they're right-wing extremists? We're all Americans and each of our votes should count equally, one person, one vote.

@DWDavis I think California is an outlier in that the people vote at a considerably higher rate than many if not most other states. The turnout for this election was something like 75% while nationally it was only in the 40s. That's due greatly to the fact they actually encourage people to vote rather than make it as difficult and inconvenient as possible. There are some states where the Republican vote is unbelievably high as well but I'm pretty sure the reason for that is so many voters who would be likely to vote Democratic are disenfranchised. YES, voter suppression is a real problem unlike voter fraud.

@anniepa No, I don't think we should discount Californian's votes because they're too liberal. My point was that California is an outlier, a state which votes Democrat at a percentage so much higher than the next highest state that one has to wonder if the vote count is legitimate. In many districts in California, there are no Republicans on the ballot for national, state, or local office, so many Republicans in California never bother to vote at all because they know that no matter what they do their vote won't matter, their voices won't be heard, and they won't be represented by their elected officials.
