The Kansas City Royals on Saturday have signed to a minor league contract former Los Angeles Dodgers right handed relief pitcher Brandon League.
League will be one of 22 non roster players trying out to make the Kansas City Royals team during Spring Training in 2017.
League was designated for assignment on July 2, 2016 by the Los Angeles Dodgers before he was released on July 10, 2016 due to a shoulder injury to his pitching arm in March which kept him pitching in the Major Leagues in 2016.
League, 33, has a long shot of making the Royals Major League roster but if he can show the Royals he has fully recovered from his shoulder injury during Spring Training he would be a welcome addition to the team in 2017.

If League is healed, he has a good chance of making the team. Besides his price is cheap for cost conscious KC.

That is true since the Royals do not have deep pockets.
