Should you follow everyone that follows you?

Does it bother you when you follow someone on the social networks and they dont follow back. Do you follow everyone that follows you?
I always follow people who follow me and it bothers me when someone doesnt follow back. Simply I cant wrap my mind around it. What is it its? Its not like they are something better than the rest, surely they are not superstars..
I think they are just rude... after all it doesnt cost them anything..

No one has to follow anyone back. You follow people because you like their writing style or things like that. And you can't force anyone to follow you. Take it with a grain of salt. Be picky who you follow...I do and I am not rude.

I honestly have no idea what the big deal is regarding the following/follows issue. When myLot was here before, there was a lot more reason to do it, although back then it was called "friending" rather than "following". There were certain benefits that you had, such as you could only message someone on your "friends list". Now, you can message anyone you want as long as you are not blocked, so that does not apply. What would be the benefit of following everyone who follows you?

I haven't followed anyone new in a long time. It is easier for me to follow the 'recent discussions' tab as I am following so many already

@Pletvarec I don't see their discussions any more if I follow them. There is just really no point that I can see for the following button

I always follow people who follow me and I think it's only right but also respectful if I person follow you, you should follow them back. Respect, follow, respect

Thats what I thought cuz I see it like - if you are interested what I have to say then lets see what you are saying and whether or you continue following them is another different thing

@MALUSE it might be in your case but so far everyone that's followed me conversate a with me. Which has gave me good earnings just the two days I've been here.

it's not rude,or putting yourself above people..to be perfectly frank sometimes i see things on other people's sites that disturb me..and if there's a lot of it,i won't add them,period.

I do not follow back everyone that follows me and I do not mind if I follow someone and that person doesn't follow me back.

Honestly , I don't follow just because they follow me. I am happy to have followers, that means they like something about my writing..
I know some like to like a lot of people wanting big followers, I follow people after I see them around a bit. Nothing personal if I don't follow them right away.

When someone follows me, I'm appreciative. I check out their discussions to see if I want to follow them. It's nothing personal if I don't.

I follow everyone who follows me, but... In practice, it doesn't make much difference.

But sometimes they might not follow due to their busy schedule. doesn't mean they are rude all times
