Thank You Raiders!

The Oakland Raiders Playoffs came to a crashing halt yesterday in a first round Wild Card butt kicking at the hands of the Houston Texans, 27 - 14. The outcome was clear when, with just two games left in the regular season, quarterback Derek Carr went down with a broken leg. His replacement, Matt McGloin, suffered a shoulder injury in the final game, leaving 3rd stringer Connor Cook, a rookie making his first NFL start, in command. Still, the Raiders had a great season, finishing with a 12 - 4 regular season record, and making the playoffs for the first time in 14 years. After all those years of futility, General Manager Reggie McKenzie put a winning team on the field. As far as I'm concerned, Derek Carr should be the MVP, Jack Del Rio should be Coach of the Year, and McKenzie should win GM of the Year. Thanks for the great season, guys. We in Raider Nation finally have hope.
QB Derek Carr couldn't be stopped by the Bucs with over 500 passing yards! The Oakland Raiders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during Week 8 of the 2016 NF...

Still a disappointment to fall in the wild card but perhaps the Raiders will grow and not regress and take it further next season.

Yeah, but after 14 years of futility, I'll take it.

The Oakland Raiders are back baby. Sure they fell short of advancing into the later rounds of the playoffs this year but the sun will shine tomorrow and the rebels of the league will rise again to "Just Win Baby" in the words of their late owner Al Davis.

I'm already ready for next season. I hope they can build on this.
