Do you like listening to old songs?

First of all, the term "old songs" may vary according to the time each one was born, okay? So... You don't need to argue about it. Just enjoy the topic. 
Well, I love listening to old songs, because I find them much more inspiring and well written than the songs of today. Old songs have a more engaging atmosphere than the current songs (which seems mostly very generic), and that's an added attraction for me to enjoy listening to them. Besides that, I think the singers and bands of previous decades had / have more soul.
Don't get me wrong. Not that there are currently no singers and songs like that (because they exist, and in a relatively good number 
), but they still don't reach the level of quality that they only existed completely decades ago.

@theinvisibleman Old songs are songs that have been good enough to survive. I like songs that have survived and beaten off the competition.

How old is old? I have a love of old country (I used to listen to it with my grandpa,) 60's psychedelia, and 70's R&B.

The oldest song on my iPod is Ain't We Crazy" by Harry McClintock, from 1928. I think that can be classified as "old" in anybody's book!
I agree with you -- there's plenty of quality music today....just not in mainstream. If a good song sneaks out into the mainstream it's completely by mistake.
