Populism is the enemy of the ruling class

Our society is influenced by ideals portrayed in movies, TV shows, commercials and news. That being said, we collectively seek norms based on what we see broadcasted in television programming..........and that's the problem. There are 6 corporations that own media outlets. They design TV programming to program you. They dictate what is right, what is wrong, what is patriotic, what is unpatriotic, what is American and what is un-American. There are no opportunities at public discourse as the ruling party continuously shoves their narrative down your throat. Well people are sick of it and the liars that go with it. They were so mad that massive pockets of humanity voted for a guy who decided to run a campaign based on transparency of character. Whether he was transparent or not, these people were so desperate they selected him because he came across more trustworthy than his opponent. He won on a populist platform. So why didn't his party embrace him? Because he ran a populist campaign....which goes against the "establishment". That establishment is made of puppet leaders who work at the behest of the ruling class.....a small group of people who want to maintain all the power/money without any thought of the rest of the country. A populist candidate empathizes with the plight of the common man and strives to improve his condition and quality of life. He does it through tax reform and an end to political corruption. A populist candidate is a thorn in the side of the top 1%.
