Former Chicago Cubs right handed starting pitcher Jason Hammel has drawn the interest of current Baltimore Orioles general manager Dan Duquette to sign a contract and pitch for his team in 2017. Hammel became a free agent when the Chicago Cubs decided not to renew his contract since Hammel missed pitching in the playoffs due to an injury to his right elbow. Hammel had pitched for the Baltimore Orioles during the 2012 and 2013 Major League Baseball seasons. By the looks of things due to the high praise coming from Dan Duquette, it is possible that Hammel could be pitching for the Baltimore Orioles for a second time in 2017.

He is a good risk at a cheap price.

Since Jason has worked with Dan Duquette in the past a reunion is possible in 2017.
