Former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams who was not going to be return to coach with the Rams in 2017 has been hired to replace Ray Horton as the defensive coordinator the Browns on Sunday.
Fisher had been the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams for the last three seasons under the leadership of former Rams head coach Jeff Fisher.
Williams will have the task of working with current Browns head coach Hue Jackson to rebuild the Browns franchise that end the 2016 football season with a record of one win and 15 losses.
The Browns defense in the 2016 football season allowed the second most yards to the opponents and third to last in points allowed to the opponents which was a factor in the dismissal of Ray Horton as the defensive coordinator of the Browns after one season.

The New Orleans Saints defense looks like the Steel Curtain by comparison.

Hue is with the Browns now? He's not a bad coach. He did take a couple of sorry Raiders teams to 8 - 8.
