A belated Merry Christmas / Happy New Year....and Gallstones....

I know I am a bit late but wanted to wish everyone the best for 2017! And if you celebrate it, hope you had a fantastic Christmas too! I was in Sydney for Christmas. Was there for a week. Stayed with my Nan. ( my mums mum ) and it was good because it gave me a chance to learn more about her and bond with her. Been very hard to since we moved to Perth when I was 5 years old. Haven't seen her much since then. Also spent time with my other brother, sister in law, niece and nephew. Met my nephew for the very first time so that was brilliant! Miss them both already! So cute! I landed back in Perth at 10pm new years eve. My stomach was very sore and I was very sick when I came back home. I was laying in bed when midnight struck lol so that was how I celebrated the new year. Around 1:30am-ish I was laying in bed at the hospital because my stomach and back were in so much pain. It's a pain I have experienced before only it was much worse. Long story short, they put it down to anxiety from flying ( since I'm scared of flying ) or possible food poisoning. 2 nights after, I was back in hospital again with the same pains. Again, long story short, this time they think it's gallstones. If this is true ( I have more tests to be done ) then this would explain the pains I have been getting all these years. Have been sore and sick a few times lately so would be great to get it all sorted ASAP. So it's a very lovely start to the new year *sarcasm* But if you do think about it...it kinda is. Because 1: I would have found out the reason for these mysterious pains all these years and 2: Can rip the bugger out and never deal with the pains again! Hope everyone had a better new years than me.

If it is gall stones, I hope they don't dally. I suffered intense gall stone attacks for over a year and the doctors kept telling me it was stress and that I should take up yoga.

@VivaLaDani13 The experience did teach me that sometimes you have to be a real pain in the doctor's neck if you're not getting the treatment you think you need.

@DWDavis aw man! See this is the thing that annoys me with doctors ( not all, just some ). They either do so many tests instead of the one thing that will show up what's wrong or put it down to stress or anxiety. They did that to me too with my stomach issues. Even though I tried to explain that these pains start in the stomach and move into my back as well. But nope. They didn't do much. I'm sorry you went through that all. It isn't fun at all. it's just horrible!

There you are! I'm so happy to see you back! Of course I'm not happy to hear you've been sick, but as you said, there's always a silver lining to the cloud... Get well soon, my girl! And Happy New Year to you too!

I wondered where you'd got to Dani, I missed you. Let's hope that if it is indeed gallstones that you can get them treated, and get back to good health. What a miserable way to spend New Year.

@jaboUK I missed you too! I am very happy to be back with everyone. I have an ultrasound on the 17th so I am hoping something will be found this time. Have had too many tests and nothing showed up so I've continued to deal with the pain for many years.

How the previous doctors didn't find it before? Did they even check you properly?

@Daljinder That's what my dad and nan were talking about before. They think it may be because I'm too young for them. Especially when I went to the doctors in my teen years. Guess it never occurred to the doctors before. The previous tests that I've had before were for an ulcer, allergies, problems with my ovaries. And a few times was put down to anxiety. Which annoyed me because they sent me off with no tests done. Just "anxiety." Very happy the woman at the hospital suggested gallstones. I'm just hoping something is found this time.
