Help! Camera Memory Card Locked

I was going to take a new picture of my yard with frozen ice in the yard along with some leftover snow that didn't melt, but after taking out my sd card from the computer once it was ejected, my camera now has a notice on the top that says: Memory Card Locked. I googled that, but it gave me ideas on how to fix my computer and retrieve lost images when that comes up. My problem isn't with my computer, but with the camera itself. I looked online for the appropriate manual, but mine isn't listed therein. I may have to do more homework later on, but thought maybe someone here may know the answer to this? I did just try another sd card and at least it isn't telling me the same thing. Instead it says insufficient space on the card. I can figure that one out myself. Interestingly enough, when the google results said something about retrieving my photos, I became concerned. I put the sd card back into my computer and promptly saved all the images and deleted most of them to give more space, but the camera is still saying the same thing.

There is usually a small switch on the side of the card to lock it. Did you check whether you had accidentally switched it when handling the card?

@Namelesss I've probably seen that tab before without thinking about what it was. I saw Yuki's response before Barry's and got it fixed even though it didn't look like it was in the wrong spot. Owl explained things more specifically for me and answered more questions I had. Thanks for checking.

@MarshaMusselman Even though it was in the right position you may have just caught it and moved it slightly. I am glad that the problem is solved.

I had a camera problem once (different from yours). I looked up the company online and found customer service so I emailed them and they were able to help me fix it! Maybe you could try that?

I've already gotten several answers from mylotters. Although my card didn't have the tab in the wrong place, knowing what could be the problem helped me to fix it.

Are you sure you haven't accidentally moved the little tab on the side that 'locks' the card? I know that some of my cards just give up eventually. Have you formatted the card using any other device? Sometimes that causes them not to work in another device.

No, I didn't move the tab by mistake, but once I heard about this, I did it on purpose and after moving it back to the top it seems to be working now. I only use this one in my camera and desktop to retrieve the images taken. I already saved the images on it earlier today so if I end up not getting in all would not be lost. Now that I know about it, I maybe should make sure to save more of my images on all my cards. It appears that once it's reset the images on the card won't show up while viewing on the camera although they can be retrieved on my desktop.
