Believe It or Not

There is hope. After my post (Yikes) on the 6th, I contacted my electric company and they turned me over to a group called EOAC (big, long, hairy name), which is located in another city. I was there for 4 hours filling out forms and turning over everything for copies (except for a thumb print and the name of my great-great grandmother ) to find out if they would help. I think the only thing they didn't do was give me a polygraph test . Finally they said they would help. They are completely paying February's bill ($162.62); then some of March, April, July, August, September, October and then December's bills for a total of $1,000 over all those months. Wheww!! There is hope; believe it or not.

Wonderful news Nanette, I'm so happy to hear this. Is that company a charity, or is it State run? Good luck with your mammogram.

I think it's state run @jaboUK . They will also come out and weatherize your house; change out windows and doors if they can; repair your roof, etc.

A state-sponsored group @SIMPLYD . They pay a portion of each bill pretty much.

@SIMPLYD You go to their office and fill out an application form and bring all your forms of salary and bills.

The form itself was 15 pages long @amadeo . That didn't count having to bring: drivers license, birth certificate, copies of my electric bill for 12 months, water bill, house payment, insurance copies, etc..........I am so thrilled. It was worth it in the end.
