Man run over by a pick up truck in oak cliff

I can't believe this! A crippled man with cerebral palsy, already in a wheel chair, a motorized one, was in Oak Cliff on or around 12th street just outside a cafe, was run over by a HIT & RUN driver in a white F-150 I think it was and the hit and run driver left the scene, placing the unfortunate male victim in a Methodist hospital in Dallas. He is laying in bed with his legs held together by steel rods and may lose them. What kind of monster does this? I mean, the driver ran over a helpless person who was merely riding along in his motorized wheel chair, already suffering severe motor impairment. The person who drove over his legs while driving off and leaving the scene is a very bad person and leaving the scene of a hit and run was a reckless thing to do and I hope to God they find the person and take away his driving privileges and puts him in county lock up. The reason I am so angry about this is because it's just that people drive too fast and could care less about the safety of pedestrians. The driver of that pick up truck, a white F-150 is just one example of how bad things have gotten out of hand lately.
Dallas Police are looking for the driver who hit a wheelchair bound man in Oak Cliff on Tuesday night, and then fled the scene.

A similar thing happened here a few years ago. There was a hit and run and a young man in a wheelchair was killed. The person never even stopped to see if he was okay. They never did find the driver. I often then about that accident and wonder how that person could ever live with themselves knowing they left him there helpless and dying.

This is of course, assuming they have a conscience.

@sugartoes I am a direct descendant to a Judge on my Mother's side of the family. My great grandfather on my mother's mother's side, was a Judge and a Magistrate. He called all the shots back in the day.

It hits close to home. As I live in the heart of Oak Cliff and know this area like the back of my hand. I have to take it more seriously. I live here so therefore what happened to a fellow Dallas resident, an Oak Cliff resident at that, is like one of my very own family getting hurt. I feel so bad for him, the man hit by that truck, that my heart goes out to him.

@sugartoes , No I am afraid I do not know him. But when things happen in my area of the city it hits close to home in many ways. I just want to see things change that make it better for people who rely on different ways just to get from point A to pint B and arrive home in one piece. I see a basic decline in moral stewardship.
