Focus is Quite Important

Just a day or two ago I posted a discussion about how I had been going in circles for a few months. It was due to my inability to make a solid decision about what I wanted to do. Today I am also realizing that I was unable to focus on one task because my mind would be wandering to many others in the process. Focus is really important for life, even the smallest of tasks. When you do a task with full attention it not only brings the task more quality but it also brings your mind so much more peace. We need to realize we can not do everything any way. Also another strong point to remember is that we can only do the one thing we are doing at a time. This should help us to slow down.

Thank you for this wonderful post. I am also guilty of this. My mind often wanders to another task while I am doing a particular work at the moment. My mind is restless. I admire for boyfriend for being focused on his work. He does not like multitasking and in fact, he admires me too for being able to multitask.

@jhechorain Sometimes I think it is good and sometimes it is not. I agree with you that when we focus on things, then we improve the quality of what we are doing. This post of yours is very timely for me.

Mult-tasking can be a good thing sometimes but I think that it tends to take over the brain. Then it loses any value which it had before.

I agree that's why in my planner and journals I have this focus word that reminds me every single day of what I'm supposed to do.

Oh, is the word different every day or is it the same?

@jhechorain it stays the same until I reach my goal.

That sounds like an interesting tactic.

We need to slow down and look around. The world is a wonderful place and there is so much to see and enjoy. If we rush everything we will miss a lot.

I'm also one that can only do things well when I focus on one thing and give it my best attention and complete the task and then move on to something else.

That trait has almost been lost it seems to multi-tasking.
