It's nighttime here in metro Cincinnati (the "good side" -- I'm in northern Kentucky, but had a lovely view of Cincinnati across the river on the drive to the gig), and that means time for another "night" song -- one of my favorites with the word night in the title. Here's the next song on the list.
#3: Just Another Night - Ian Hunter
I used "Cleveland Rocks" in my list of songs with a city's name in the title, and I told @JolietJake to get that picture of himself with the Ian Hunter album in the background warmed up because that album would show up again. And here it is.
The opening salvo on Hunter's classic You're Never Alone With a Schizophrenic is this superb rocker about, ahem, "other substances" ("all this reefer madness put a poor kid in jail") and other things that lead to the title -- it's "just another night on the other side of life."
I love this album. I love this song.
Just Another Night
Written by Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson
Recorded by Ian Hunter
From You're Never Alone With a Schizophrenic, 1979
All this intrigue, it gets me out of my league:

Ian Hunter was awesome. Didn't hurt having Mick Ronson in the band, either!

I liked Ian Hunter when I was a teen. Had his live album. He is far better listened to live. A great performer.
