Oh wow. He/they is owed that much? If he wins, I hope her share goes to a charity "on her behalf". I don't know how he acquired the numbers and evidence, but I suppose there are many gray areas concerning digital sales, royalties for it, and such. I wonder if details about digital sales were ever spelled out on a contract.

@RichardMeister I suppose since he is older and doesn't have to worry about success anymore, he can say exactly what he wants to no matter how big and reputable a company is. But now I am wondering . . . if Karen's husband is hands off to her money, and she didn't have any children, what happens to her estate or does it really mean it's his estate?

@much2say Karen was a smart women. She changed her will as soon as she knew the marriage wasn't going to work out. So her husband is completely out of the picture. I don't think there was any 50/50 laws in those days. From what has been reported he had drained her bank account before they separated so I'd say he got his fair share.

@RichardMeister Since her parents are now gone, and I assume there were no other siblings, then Richard had gotten her share of the royalties since she passed away. Thank goodness Karen changed her will and the ex got nothing (I hope) thereafter.

@RichardMeister
Their songs are being played and being loved by people until now. That means the company is still earning from it.
And i think their songs are undying...

Just wish justice would prevail in favor of whoever is right.
