Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is the top candidate to become the next San Fransisco 49ers head coach to succeed Chip Kelly who was terminated at the end of the 2016 football season. Kyle Shanahan cannot be hired by the 49ers until the Atlanta Falcons football season ends at the end of Super Bowl 51 or next Sunday when the Green Bay Packers beat them at the end of the National Football Conference Championship Game. Shahanan is the son of former Los Angeles Raiders, Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan. The joke around 49ers fans is that there are not many coaches who are interested in working with the 49ers organization and that Kyle Shanahan is the only coaching candidate that is willing to accept the challenge of rebuilding the team in 2017.

He wants a head coaching job and can make his mark if he turns the 49ers around.

I remember when Mike Ditka coached the New Orleans Saints and his wife said that "Jesus Christ could not save the Saints football team" when Mike was their head coach. I am sure Kyle will accept the challenge of reviving the 49ers.
