Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay on Thursday made a statement that his starting quarterback Andrew Luck had successful surgery on his right shoulder recently.
The recovery time when Luck will be able to throw a football will be at least three months but he will be able to resume his quarterback duties in the middle of July 2017.
Luck has played his quarterback position with a shoulder injury the past two football seasons in which the Colts have failed to make it to the playoffs.
If the Colts expect to make a playoff run in 2017, the Colts will need to get Luck an offensive line to protect him since he was sacked 41 times which tied for second place in the National Football League during the 2016 football season.

Luck has the luxury of the off season to get well.
