It Is Raining This Morning

The rain on the window is what woke me up this morning. It’s a gentle rain. It’s not storming, nor is the wind blowing. So, I don’t mind the rain. I’m not sure what the outside temperature is. I haven’t checked the weather yet. We’ve been having some very warm days for January so far, except that one snowstorm, that kept snow on the ground for about four days and the temperature was below zero F. But, then it warmed up and hasn’t been very cold since. In the 40s and 50s mostly, and some days in the 60s. I’m hoping that we will have a mild winter, but winter has just begun and who knows what February and March will bring? I will be staying home today. I ran all my errands on Wednesday. Yesterday my daughter came to my house, and ran the vacuum for me downstairs and cleaned the kitchen floor for me. She also cleaned the two living room windows, inside and out. I took down the curtains and will launder them today. She will come next week and do a few more things for me. My payment to her, not that she asks for payment, was to make for her my “famous” spaghetti sauce, which she took home for her family’s dinner. I made a very large pot of sauce, so they can have enough for a couple days. I had purchased some new rugs. One for outside the front door and one for the kitchen, in front of the sink, and one area rug for the middle of the living room. So I got to put all those down yesterday after she finished cleaning. I threw away all the old rugs. My son will be taking them to the dump. It was time for new rugs and I feel happy about my purchases. They look very nice. I hope your week is going well. I have an assembly to attend on Saturday and will be gone all day. So, I want to try to post a few things today, since I won’t be home tomorrow.
