Kansas City Royals right handed starting pitcher Yordano "Ace" Ventura was killed early Sunday morning in an auto accident in his native Dominican Republic. The Kansas City Royals organization mentioned the tragic news of the passing of one of their best starting pitchers on their team on Sunday. Ventura pitched for the Kansas City Royals since he made his debut in the Major Leagues in 2013. To put it mildly everyone who saw him pitch in the Major Leagues are deeply saddened that one of the young guns has passed away at such a young age. My thoughts are prayers are with Ventura's family and his teammates.

So sad and tragic. A young man with such a promising future. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who knew and loved him.

I agree with you since Ventura was a great starting pitcher and his teammates said he was a swell guy to be with.

@Deepizzaguy I was watching it on the news and it just broke my heart. Gone way too soon.

@Happy2BeMe I saw the report on the Worldwide Leader in Depression in Sport on Sunday morning. I was shocked big time. Oh by the way I meant ESPN.

He was a good pitcher and part of the World Series champion team.
