The Cleveland Browns on Monday signed free agent to be linebacker Jaime Collins to a four year contact extension.
Collins had played four seasons with the New England Patriots from 2013-2016 before he was traded to the Browns before the trade deadline since the Patriots did not want to lose Collins via free agency without getting any players in return since they were not sure they would be able to sign him to a new contract at the end of the 2016 football season.
Collins wanted to stay with the Browns organization before he was set to hit the free agent trial in March but since he has signed his new four year contract extension on Monday, he will part of the rebuilding Browns football team for at least the next four football seasons.
Collins was a second round draft choice of the New England Patriots in the 2013 National Football League Draft out of the University of Southern Mississippi.

That is true. The Browns are light years away from going to a Super Bowl.
